Next month, ABS moves to our new headquarters at 2 Reads Ways in New Castle, DE. This two-story 48,000 sq. ft. office building is renovated with completely new laboratories and building systems. It enables us to expand operations to better serve our clients’ needs.
The facility houses:
- three large cell culture laboratories with multiple workstations
- a cell quarantine lab
- a cell QC lab
- a molecular biology lab
- a flow cytometry lab
- a very large biospecimen processing lab
- a histology / immunohistochemistry lab
- two large analytical labs,
- rooms for -80° C and liquid nitrogen sample storage
as well as a full complement of offices, storage rooms, a shipping / logistics area, conference rooms, etc. This expansion greatly enhances our capacity to serve our clients.
The new facility is a major physical change. The building is designed to maximize the efficiency of our workflows to enhance productivity. However, it is only one component of our growth. More importantly, we continue to improve, streamline, and automate our processes to increase productivity and the reliability of our services.
After we have settled into operations at our new headquarters, we will have an opening for our clients and others so that everyone can see the improvements that we are making and celebrate with us. We will be sending out invitations later in the year and look forward to many of you joining us.
